We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mobile Assistant Cook to join our team in Sheffield. As a key member of our Education division, you will be responsible for assisting in daily operations and food preparation to uphold our reputation for quality and service.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Help with menu planning, paperwork, and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure high standards of hygiene, food safety, and health and safety are maintained.
  • Respond promptly to any incidents or issues that may arise.
  • Support staff training and induction, and participate in ongoing personal training.
  • Monitor portion control and maintain the cleanliness of the premises and equipment.
  • Assist with dining furniture setup, cleaning, and storage.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure the efficient running of the unit.
Requirements
  • Good secondary education and either achieved craft qualifications or willing to study for them.
  • Numerate and able to communicate in written and spoken English.
  • Potential to plan kitchen activities and organize the work of others.
  • Demonstrates flair and innovation.
  • Potential to undertake menu planning and costing.
  • Committed to achieving good standards of food hygiene.
