Senior Project Engineer

We are in search of a skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes.

We welcome applications from experienced Senior Engineers who possess the following qualifications and expertise:

Robust technical knowledge, preferably in engineering disciplines such as piping or process, along with comprehensive understanding and experience across various project scopes in all phases, including Project Management Consultancy (PMC).

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensuring compliance of engineering solutions with client specifications, industry standards, and Group Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols, as well as engineering processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of European, American, and international standards relevant to the petrochemical sector.
  • Overseeing the execution of project deliverables to align with the project scope as outlined in the Project Contract.
  • Developing the Project Engineering Plan and facilitating its review and input from Discipline Managers and the Project Manager (PM) prior to the initiation of project engineering activities.
  • Guiding and supporting Lead Discipline Engineers (LDEs) in achieving project execution objectives and mandates, ensuring quality and governance requirements are integrated into the schedule and executed as necessary.
  • Conducting weekly assessments of scheduled tasks for execution and completion, identifying issues or obstacles to progress, and collaborating with LDEs to devise solutions for any potential challenges. In cases of alternative execution strategies, determining and agreeing on the optimal solution.
  • Providing project direction to Design Engineering and Process Engineering LDEs, while managing the development, maintenance, and distribution of engineering budget manhours and schedules.
  • Ensuring timely processing of budget and schedule change requests, and communicating revisions to approved budget manhours to the PM and the Client.
  • Coordinating with Technology, Engineering, Process, and Project Controls to guarantee timely delivery and updates to project management tools.
  • Overseeing Procurement and Construction activities, including technical bid evaluations, requisition packages, vendor document reviews, tests/inspections, sub-contracts, and resolution of nonconformities.
  • Collaborating with the Project Document Control team regarding necessary procedures and systems for project management.
