Student Support Coordinator

U-Educate is seeking a dedicated Student Support Coordinator for a secondary educational institution. This role is designed to provide comprehensive support to students and staff, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead in delivering a proficient medical support service to the Academy community.
  • Engage in health promotion initiatives and educational programs.
  • Offer health guidance and emergency medical assistance to students and staff as necessary.
  • Respond to health-related incidents involving students or staff, including administering first aid and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Collaborate closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to enhance awareness of health matters within the Academy.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to successfully complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for working with minors.
  • Possess an NVQ Level 2 in a relevant field or an equivalent qualification, along with a First Aid certification.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
  • Current Safeguarding Training is required (a free course is available through U-Educate for those without a valid certificate from the past year).

Contract Details

  • Full-time position, 37 hours per week.
  • Work schedule aligns with academic terms.
