Position Overview: A Controls & Software Engineer is sought for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer. The role involves the design and development of software components for machinery, adhering to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with engineers, clients, and stakeholders to evaluate current or prospective engineering projects and products.
- Design, implement, and maintain PLC, HMI Software, and SCADA systems.
- Oversee and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure adherence to specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Monitor operations to verify compliance with design and equipment specifications, as well as operational and safety standards.
- Prepare specifications for the procurement of materials and equipment.
- Supervise and mentor project team members as needed.
- Investigate customer issues, assess the nature and extent of problems, and propose corrective actions.
- Provide IQ/OQ support on-site as required.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with WinCC and SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in TIA Portal and Ladder Logic.
- Knowledge of PLC and HMI systems.
- Familiarity with Siemens S7.
- Ability to write scripts (VB/C etc.).
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Proficient in IT skills, including MS Office.
- Capability to work collaboratively within a team.
Remuneration:
- Salary range: £55k-£65k based on experience.
- Hybrid working options available.
- Early finish on Fridays.
