Dunbar Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN English Teacher to support the academic and emotional growth of students with diverse abilities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver tailored English lessons to meet the unique needs of students with varying levels of ability.
- Implement strategies to support students with learning difficulties, SEMH needs, or other additional needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning, engagement, and emotional well-being.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to support the holistic development of each student.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant SEN teaching qualification.
- Experience working with students with SEN, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet a variety of needs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude, with a genuine passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
