This position allows you to join the newly formed Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) and contribute to a rapidly evolving team that forges collaborations across industry and academia, focusing on pioneering methods in pharmaceutical production.

Reporting to a Programme Manager, you will be part of a team that oversees CPI's project portfolio, ensuring the delivery of impactful projects that exceed customer expectations. As Project Management operates as a matrix function within CPI, you will have the chance to collaborate across various technology teams. You will receive training and development opportunities aimed at achieving an APM qualification. CPI's dynamic environment will challenge you while providing avenues for personal and professional growth.

In the capacity of Project Coordinator, your responsibilities will encompass executing administrative tasks across CPI, necessitating interaction with all business sectors and technology teams to implement, sustain, and execute the PMO framework.

Noteworthy Projects Recently Undertaken by the Team:

- Grand Challenge 1: Continuous Direct Compression — Aims to streamline costs and complexities in tablet development and manufacturing, facilitating quicker responses to patient requirements.

- Grand Challenge 2: Just-In-Time Clinical Supply – Seeks to minimize lengthy lead times for clinical trials by establishing more agile, digitally-oriented supply chains that can adapt more effectively to demand.

- Grand Challenge 3: Sustainable Production of Oligonucleotides – Concentrates on this groundbreaking therapeutic area, driving efficiencies in cost and sustainability to enhance patient access.

- Digital Membership is a collaborative initiative involving contributions from pharmaceutical companies, technology providers, and regulators to deliver digital solutions in pharmaceutical manufacturing aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities of the Role

Key responsibilities in this role will include (but are not limited to):

  • Monitoring adherence to project management standards, policies, procedures, and templates through project audits and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Assisting Project Managers in coordinating and delivering project reviews.
  • Managing and maintaining action logs.
  • Handling information requests and providing timely reporting of project outputs and performance to project sponsors and internal stakeholders.
  • Manipulating and formatting project data to support financial and Project Performance Report completion in collaboration with Project Managers.
  • Maintaining and aiding in the development of project management methodologies, best practices, standards, policies, procedures, templates, and other shared documentation.
  • Updating configuration documents as necessary.
  • Acting as a meeting scribe, documenting actions, and ensuring effective communication and follow-up.
  • Assisting in ensuring accurate data entry into CRM systems and generating reports as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess at least a Higher Level education (or equivalent) in a business-related or STEM discipline and will have:

  • Previous administrative experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
  • Strong report writing capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create reports and manipulate data.
  • Experience in tracking outputs and key performance indicators.
  • A solid understanding of office software packages, including CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Experience in liaising with external organizations.
  • Self-discipline and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively with all levels within an organization.

Applications are particularly encouraged from candidates who hold a Project Fundamentals Qualification (or are willing to pursue one) and have:

  • Previous PMO experience.
  • Familiarity with basic project management concepts such as planning, risk, issue, and change management.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as MS-Project or equivalent.
  • Financial acumen and an understanding of project budgets, costs, revenues, and margins.
  • A background in continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience in the scientific sector.
