About the Role

Inclusion, a leading provider of healthcare services, is seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Team at HMP Isle of Wight. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals in custody.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based interventions and manage a caseload of individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Assess and develop personalized care plans, utilizing the Care Programme Approach (CPA) framework.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group work and deliver evidenced-based interventions.
  • Identify individuals requiring hospital treatment and facilitate timely transfers under the Mental Health Act.
  • Line manage a Band 5 nurse, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register.
  • Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and compliance with NMC revalidation.
  • Teaching Certificate, including annual update (ENB 603), or related mentoring/coaching qualification.
  • Considerable experience of working in the mental health field, with expertise in providing specialist interventions for individuals with mental health problems.
