About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Acute Medical Rehabilitation team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering rehabilitation to patients admitted to our medical wards, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and complete holistic patient assessments, considering rehabilitation needs and strategies for safe and timely discharge.
- Facilitate continuity of patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver rehabilitation programs, including bed, chair, and standing activities, gait re-education, and gym-based exercise programs.
- Work independently, with arms-length supervision, to support patients in various settings.
- Develop and maintain a broad range of experience as a support worker in therapy services or associated fields.
Requirements
- Good command of the English language and basic math skills.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant additional courses to support clinical work.
- Significant knowledge and experience of the model of physiotherapy and ability to support therapeutic intervention.
