Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Non-Destructive Testing Specialist. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for conducting site visits to carry out plant inspections, coordinating and supervising inspection activities, producing high-quality inspection reports, and reviewing and authorizing inspection reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site visits to carry out plant inspections and gather data on the condition of plant components.
  • Coordinate and supervise inspection activities, including liaison with clients and other key stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality inspection reports that meet the requirements of our clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Review and authorize inspection reports to ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Estimate and manage project costs to ensure they are within budget.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standards, legislation, good practice, methods, and the use of appropriate equipment and software.
Requirements:
  • Good practical experience in the inspection of a range of plant components, particularly steam and water pressure parts.
  • An appreciation of the damage and degradation mechanisms that can take place on the components being inspected.
  • PCN Level 2D certification in magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing, and ultrasonic testing of welds.
  • Experience in the ultrasonic testing of branch connections and working on plant outages, including a proven track record in a coordinating or supervisory role.
  • Project management experience and a NEBOSH General Certificate would be an advantage.
