The charity supports and cares for over 40,000 orphans and their families in 13 countries, including Somalia and Palestine.
A fantastic opportunity exists for a Fundraising and Development Manager to join the team and play a crucial role in securing financial resources to support the charity's orphan and widow sponsorship programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to secure financial resources for the charity's programs.
- Plan, execute, and oversee fundraising activities across various avenues, including community, events, mosques, and local business partnerships.
- Lead and manage fundraising campaigns and activities, leveraging proven experience in the charity sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and partners to secure funding and support.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies and tactics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in developing and executing fundraising strategies and delivering to large income targets.
- Demonstrable experience in fundraising and donor relations in the charity sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in managing fundraising campaigns and activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grant writing and public speaking.
- Familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems.
- Strong team working skills and creative problem-solving skills.
- Alignment to the organisation's values and knowledge of the Muslim fundraising space is a plus.
