About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our client's team in Poole, Dorset. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the production line.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of Production Line Equipment: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the production line is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the maintenance team and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Install new equipment and machinery, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inventory Management: Liaise with the maintenance manager to purchase equipment, materials, and parts as needed.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and contribute to the development of work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: City & Guilds or apprenticeship-trained in mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience: Time-served as a mechanical maintenance engineer.
  • Skills: Strong diagnostic skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other technical tools.
