Senior Theatre Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Theatre Practitioner to join our Theatre Department at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role:

As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care, working collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient and effective Theatre services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the organisation of the unit, ensuring optimal theatre utilisation at all times.
  2. Provide managerial and clinical leadership of departmental staff, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Band 7 Theatre Coordinator.
  3. Support the process of risk management and health & safety, upholding relevant policies and ensuring incidents are reported appropriately.
  4. Participate in the on-call rota.
  5. Undertake individual performance reviews and implement personal development plans for junior staff.
  6. Monitor compliance with Trust Policies and National Guidelines.
