About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Major Gifts Officer to join our fundraising team at Combat Stress, the UK's leading charity for veteran's mental health.

As a Senior Major Gifts Officer, you will be responsible for cultivating, stewarding, and developing a portfolio of donors to secure gifts of £5,000 and above. You will work closely with our passionate supporters to build a revenue pipeline of new supporters and help us provide life-changing treatment to former servicemen and women.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and steward a portfolio of major donors to secure gifts of £5,000 and above
  • Develop and implement a strategy to build a revenue pipeline of new supporters
  • Work closely with colleagues to identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities
  • Report to the Head of Major Gifts and contribute to the development of the fundraising team
Requirements
  • Proven success in raising five-figure gifts and above from major donors
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of supporters and soliciting new support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
