Key Responsibilities of the Senior Mineral Planning Consultant:
  • Strategic Planning and Development: Formulate and execute strategic plans for mineral exploration and extraction initiatives, ensuring they align with client goals and regulatory standards.
  • Compliance with Regulations: Guarantee that all planning efforts adhere to local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to mineral planning and land utilization.
  • Environmental Assessments: Conduct thorough environmental assessments to analyze the potential impacts of mining activities and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Engagement with Stakeholders: Collaborate with government bodies, landowners, community organizations, and other stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and facilitate project approvals.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate comprehensive planning documents, reports, and proposals. Maintain meticulous records of all planning actions and decisions.
  • Project Oversight: Manage the planning and permitting processes, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in planning, geology, environmental science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in mineral planning or a comparable position within the planning or mining sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable regulations, land use policies, and planning methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in GIS and other planning-related software is highly advantageous.
