About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated M&E CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in a leading recruitment agency, Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) drawings using CAD software, supporting our engineering projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D M&E drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain CAD libraries and project files, ensuring seamless integration with engineering projects.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and verify drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an M&E CAD Technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of M&E systems and building services.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.), with the ability to adapt to new technologies and software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong focus on quality and precision.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or a related field, with a strong foundation in technical principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) software, with a strong understanding of its applications and benefits.
