This is a full-time role for an immediate start until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of being kept on at the school pending successful performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with pupils aged 11-16 with additional learning needs.
  • Assist pupils with their school work, offering interventions with literacy and numeracy.
  • Closely work alongside the subject teacher to maintain low levels of disruption.
  • Provide emotional support for pupils struggling.
  • Enhance pupils' wellbeing and mental health.
Requirements
  • Patient, kind, and caring individual who can be firm.
  • Motivated and able to act on own initiative with little guidance.
  • Experience in a relevant field working with vulnerable adults or children with learning difficulties.
  • Understanding of Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and Mental Health needs.
  • Able to commit to a full academic year and not take holidays during term time.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Personal or professional experience with additional needs.
  • Qualification in education or related to this field of work.
  • Confident with behaviour management.
  • Strong communication skills.
