Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Support Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a School Support Assistant - Pastoral Care, you will work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs and Mental Health Difficulties, providing individualized support and care to help them thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health Difficulties
  • Assist students with daily tasks and activities, promoting independence and self-confidence
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Monitor and report on student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for success

Requirements:

  • C-grade or higher in English and Maths at GCSE
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health Difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
