Job Opportunity: GSL Education is seeking University Students to apply for various Flexible Positions in schools throughout the area. This is an excellent chance for students looking to gain practical experience in education while balancing their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the classroom and support students with their learning as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Oversee classes in the teacher's absence, ensuring students stay on task as a Cover Supervisor.
  • Provide personalised support to students with additional needs in one-to-one or small group settings as a Learning Support Assistant.
  • Ensure exam sessions run smoothly, following all required guidelines as an Exam Invigilator.
  • Step in to provide teaching assistant cover as needed on a short-term basis as a Supply Teaching Assistant.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people is preferred but not essential.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn in different educational environments.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • A passion for supporting students and helping them succeed.
