Head of Digital Transformation

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Head of Change & Transformation to lead our business towards a digitally enabled future. As a strategic leader, you will shape strategic initiatives, transform business ideas into IT projects, and align our technology roadmap with our business strategy. You will be at the helm of a collaborative and innovative team, fostering engagement with senior leaders and ensuring our transformation activities align with Breedon's vision.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Create, operate, and develop the Transformation Office, Enterprise Architecture, and Change Management capabilities to meet business needs and priorities.
- Business Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders to align transformation activities with strategic outcomes and oversee the technology roadmap's implementation.
- Innovation: Drive innovation by facilitating business awareness of emerging technologies and their potential benefits and risks.
- Project Management: Own and refine the end-to-end project delivery process using appropriate methodologies (e.g., Agile, Prince2).
- Programme & Service Management: Utilise frameworks related to programme and service management (e.g., MSP, ITIL) to enhance the effectiveness and governance of IT initiatives.
- Change Management: Apply change management tools (e.g., Prosci, APMG Change Management) to ensure business change is managed effectively across projects, with a focus on realising long-term benefits.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of Enterprise Architects, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Change Managers, providing mentorship and driving a culture of excellence.
- Governance: Operate IT governance, maintain transparency of the enterprise technology landscape, and develop the IT roadmap to underpin Breedon's strategy.
- Strategic Vision: Experienced in defining and implementing business strategy, with a track record of successful change initiatives.
- Engaging Leader: Strong leadership skills to empower senior technology managers, change leaders, and other team members.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels and translating complex ideas for non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solver: Able to balance multiple projects, provide innovative solutions, and align technology initiatives with business priorities.
- Project & Change Management: Certifications in project management (e.g., Prince2), along with exposure to frameworks related to programme and service management (e.g., MSP, ITIL), and change management tools (e.g., Prosci, APMG Change Management).
