Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team in Nottingham. As a key member of our Mechanical and Electrical Design team, you will be responsible for leading and managing project coordination and delivery, creating comprehensive designs, detailed drawings, and intricate schematics using current software tools.
Key Responsibilities- Manage projects effectively to ensure the coordination of technical elements is achieved to meet project targets.
- Provide full line management responsibilities for the Mechanical team, supporting the growth and development of junior, intermediate, and senior engineers.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legal and technical regulations, codes of practice, or guidelines.
- Deliver designs within the planned programme for projects and within budget.
- Provide exceptional proficiency in mechanical building services design and a deep comprehension of technical requirements, legislation, and industry best practice.
- Exercise financial oversight, monitoring project expenditure against established targets.
- Lead the Mechanical Team, providing guidance and acting as a mentor to the team.
- Create and develop designs that meet and satisfy client briefs in cooperation with other design professionals.
- Provide professional and technical expertise and advice to all internal and external customers as required, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Professionally qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- Proficiency in REVIT.
- Prior experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role working within another consultancy in the built environment.
- Salary: £45k - £55k (Guide only - DOE)
