Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer

Our client, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join their expanding team in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects effectively to ensure that the co-ordination of technical elements is achieved to meet project targets.
  • Provide full line management responsibilities for the Mechanical team supporting the growth and development of our junior, intermediate, and senior engineers.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legal and technical regulations, codes of practice, or guidelines.
  • Ensure that the designs are delivered within the planned programme for projects and that the designs are within budget.
  • Provide exceptional proficiency in mechanical building services design, and a deep comprehension of technical requirements, legislation, and industry best practice.
  • Exhibit a strong commercial acumen and exercise financial oversight, monitoring project expenditure against established targets.
  • Lead the Mechanical Team, provide guidance and act as a mentor to the team.
  • Create and develop designs that meet and satisfy client briefs in co-operation with other design professionals.
  • Provide professional and technical expertise and advice to all internal and external customers as required, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Requirements
  • Professionally qualified to degree level or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in REVIT.
  • Prior experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role working within another consultancy in the built environment.
