We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Site Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Atheray Stone. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Site Engineering Duties: You will be responsible for providing site engineering services within a designated section of the project, establishing level and survey control, and setting out works in line with contract drawings.
- Project Management Support: You will assist the site management team in managing sections of the work and specific sub-contractor packages, ensuring that all activities are carried out in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
- Quality Control: You will be responsible for conducting quality checks in line with the inspection and test plan, recording results throughout the contract, and ensuring that all materials and workmanship meet the required standards.
- Record Keeping: You will maintain accurate records for all site activities, including calibration documents, check registers, and records for excavations, concrete pours, and reinforcement.
- Surveying: You will conduct surveys of completed works to record as-built conditions, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Documentation: You will assist in preparing method statements, task briefings, and inspection and test plans, ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Qualifications: You should have a HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and be working towards ICE membership.
- Experience: You should have experience working on infrastructure or civil works, including earthworks, highways, structures, drainage, or utilities.
- Skills: You should have strong communication skills to effectively liaise with the project delivery team and clients, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Certifications: You should hold a CSCS Card and have completed cable avoidance training, First Aid training, and IOSH/SSSTS training.
