Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Hillingdon

Compensation: £95 per day

GSL Education is seeking to recruit several qualified Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants for various partner schools in Hillingdon. We are looking for individuals who have experience working with children, young people, or adults with special educational needs, or in similar support roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in SEN support within educational or care environments;
  • A passionate, dedicated, and motivated professional;
  • Assist students with emotional and behavioral challenges to help them engage with the curriculum;
  • Exhibit high levels of care, concern, and ambition for student success;
  • Possess relevant skills and experience to support a diverse range of learners, including those with ASC and SEMH needs;
  • A collaborative team member with a positive attitude;
  • Committed to enhancing student achievement and facilitating progress;
  • Provide support to SEN students through individualized and small group activities;
  • Experience in monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Energetic and patient, with effective classroom management abilities;
  • Right to Work in the UK;
  • An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one through GSL Education;
  • Ability to provide two professional references from educational settings.
