Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at SEN Primary. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support for children with complex needs.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to support students with a range of complex needs, including autism, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to students, assisting them with their learning and personal development.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Supporting students with activities of daily living, including personal care and mobility assistance.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, and providing feedback to the teaching team.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A passion to support and empower children and young people.
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team.
  • A DBS on the Updates Service, or be willing to obtain one.
  • Commitment to safeguarding students and young people.
  • Resilience to deal with challenging situations.
