Safeguard Our Network

Ensure the security, integrity, and performance of our operational network and communications infrastructure. This involves:

  • Ensuring the security and integrity of our network and communications infrastructure
  • Managing end-user Airwave devices, Integrated Communications Control System (ICCS), fleet mapping, and coverage
  • Enhancing data networks through Local Area Networking, Wide Area Networking, and Wireless Networking
Manage Airwave Infrastructure

Oversee the management of Airwave devices, ICCS, fleet mapping, and coverage. This includes:

  • Managing end-user Airwave devices
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of ICCS
  • Optimizing fleet mapping and coverage
Enhance Data Networks

Work with Local Area Networking, Wide Area Networking, and Wireless Networking to ensure the smooth flow of data. This involves:

  • Configuring and troubleshooting voice and network systems
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of our data networks
  • Managing firewall and gateway infrastructure
Transition New Tech

Help transition new or updated infrastructure from development to live environments. This includes:

  • Collaborating with the broader team on network, firewall, and telephony infrastructure support
  • Offering expertise to various projects and change initiatives

As a Communication Engineer, you will be pivotal in building, developing, and supporting all mobile devices across the force. You will collaborate with the broader team on network, firewall, and telephony infrastructure support, including ICCS infrastructure.

Postgraduate IT/Communication systems degree or equivalent is required. Voice/communications related industry qualification, such as ICCS support and Radio system support, is also desirable.
