Senior Network Engineer (Hybrid - Staffordshire)


£50,000 to £60,000 plus bonus, car allowance and more


Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic Network Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with a passion for networking technology to work with cutting-edge Cisco products. You’ll play a key role in managing and supporting network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple sites
  • Monitor network performance and optimize for efficiency
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other teams
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver high-quality network services
  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures


Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in network engineering roles, ideally within an enterprise environment
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco products, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Expertise in network security, VPNs, and load balancing
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and tools (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs)
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, including setup and management
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues quickly and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment


Desirable:

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
