Support Worker Role
As a dedicated Support Worker, you will be required to hold a full UK driving license.
If you need a Visa to work in the UK, please note that SeeAbility is currently unable to assist with sponsorship requests.

Compensation:
£12 per hour along with various benefits including paid induction and overtime for hours exceeding 37.5 per week, operating on a shift rota from Monday to Sunday.

Job Type:
Full-time, Permanent. A full UK manual driving license is essential for this position.

Do you possess experience in providing care and support to individuals in a professional environment while holding a full UK driving license? Are you a local resident with the 'Right to Work' in the UK on a full-time basis?

We are seeking Support Workers who are composed, patient, and resilient.

Your role will involve a consistent approach to assisting individuals with complex physical health needs and engaging them in their interests.

As a Support Worker, you will collaborate with an experienced team within a dynamic service where each day presents new challenges.


Key Responsibilities:


Engaging in daily tasks such as personal care, hoisting, meal preparation, light cleaning, and medication administration (post-training), as well as accompanying individuals on shopping trips.

Facilitating offsite activities including gym visits, bowling, exploring historic gardens, and attending various interests and appointments.

Participating in staycations and holidays abroad with the individuals you support, assisting them in leading fulfilling lives.
Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of those in your care.
Supporting individuals in planning and achieving both short-term and long-term goals.
Working five days a week on a shift rota covering mornings, evenings, and alternate weekends.

You will work closely with the registered manager, deputy manager, and senior staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care, aligning with our vision of inclusive communities where individuals with dementia, autism, learning disabilities, brain injuries, and physical disabilities can thrive as equal citizens.

As a Support Worker, you will receive guidance from an experienced and passionate leader who will support your development and interactions, enabling individuals to progress in their lives by creating community connections, friendships, hobbies, interests, and employment opportunities.

Who will you be supporting?
At Waterside House, we provide support to 14 individuals with diverse disabilities, including visual impairment, autism, physical disabilities, mental health challenges, and learning disabilities.
