Materials Planner

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Materials Planner to join our team at d r newitt recruitment. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring materials and packaging are available to meet demand through effective ordering and inventory control processes.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and packaging
* Develop and maintain accurate forecasts to inform inventory levels and ordering decisions
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
* Analyze data to identify trends and areas for optimization
* Develop and implement effective inventory control processes to minimize waste and redundant stock write-offs

**Requirements**

* Proven experience in a planning or procurement role within a manufacturing environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
