Anaesthetist Specialist

The General Theatre Anaesthetic team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join their team. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality anaesthetic services to patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the general on-call rota covering non-cardiac emergency surgery and supporting maternity services.
- Take part in the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the education and training of junior staff members.
- Engage in clinical governance activities, including audit and research.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion within 6 months of interview date.
- Full registration with the GMC.
- Primary medical qualification.
- FRCA or equivalent.
- Advanced Life Support qualification.
- Qualification in Paediatric Life Support.
- Advanced training in Anaesthetic Sub-speciality.
