We are seeking a highly skilled Process Development Technologist to join our dynamic New Product Development Team.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development of new products from concept to launch, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new products, from concept to launch, ensuring they meet customer category plans and deliver agreed margins.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process development initiatives, pushing production boundaries and improving efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to support product development, ensuring it meets auditable standards.
  • Support the launch of new products, including trial runs, launch meetings, and handovers to technical and production teams.
  • Identify and drive proactive process development initiatives to improve product quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
  • Work closely with technical teams to assess product quality, solve manufacturing problems, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support customer visits and benchmarking panels to ensure our products meet customer expectations.
  • Promote a health and safety culture, adhering to all H&S requirements during kitchen and process development work.

Requirements:

  • Passion for food and a desire to start or continue a career in food manufacturing.
  • HACCP/Food Safety Training and basic knowledge.
  • Experience working with own-label chilled foods.
  • Experience dealing with customer relationships, such as JS, Asda, and M&S.
  • Desirable: experience working in fried foods and HND/Degree in food-based/manufacturing subjects.
