As Senior Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the team's performance meets high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance, while also meeting or exceeding output targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Safety: Monitor, enforce, and comply with all aspects of safety, environmental, and quality regulations, ensuring team members and subcontractors work safely and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
- Team Leadership: Organize, control, and direct the activities of team leaders and operatives under your supervision, according to production plans and priorities set by the General Manager.
- Resource Management: Ensure materials are used effectively, safely, and stored correctly, and all plant, equipment, and tools are maintained in conjunction with the Maintenance team.
- Performance Management: Set targets for jobs and control budgets across your team, monitor attendance and absence, and ensure production operatives are trained in tasks being performed within the department.
- Discipline and Continuous Improvement: Ensure company policies and procedures are followed, maintain discipline within the department, and collaborate with the Lean Practitioner to develop a continuous improvement program within your area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role
- NVQ Level or Team Leadership course
- IOSH Training or Equivalent
- Experience of Manufacturing Fabrication background desirable
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Basic IT Skills
- Good written and communication skills
