About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Visitor to join our team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme as part of a team, planning, delivering, and evaluating an efficient and cost-effective service for an identified population.
  • Work with partner agencies in a strategic, creative, and holistic way to ensure the best outcomes for children, young people, and families.
  • Develop and implement programmes of care in conjunction with families and the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Undertake continuous on-going assessment of children, young people, and families, providing an evidenced-based service in accordance with National and Local Policy initiatives.
Requirements
  • First-level registered nurse/midwife qualification.
  • Specialist B. Sc. Hons, Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Must have a driving license and access to a vehicle to meet the service needs.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Nurse prescriber qualification.
  • Recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience.
  • Evidence of participating on a service development change.
