Urban Fun is a dynamic and innovative company that is revolutionizing the entertainment industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager to join our team and lead our bar operations to new heights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Staff Management

  • Hiring and Training: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of bartenders, servers, and other staff members to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure the bar is adequately staffed during peak hours, maximizing customer satisfaction and revenue.
  • Supervision: Oversee the daily work of staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure seamless operations.

2. Customer Service

  • Ensuring Satisfaction: Foster a positive and welcoming environment, ensuring customers have an exceptional experience, and addressing any complaints or feedback promptly.
  • Promoting a Friendly Atmosphere: Develop and maintain strong relationships with regular patrons, creating a loyal customer base.

3. Inventory Management

  • Stock Control: Monitor and manage stock levels of beverages and supplies, ordering new stock as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Supplier Relations: Negotiate with suppliers to secure better deals and manage deliveries efficiently.
  • Waste Management: Implement strategies to minimize waste and optimize resource usage.

4. Financial Management

  • Budgeting: Manage the bar's budget, controlling costs, and maximizing profits through effective financial planning and analysis.
  • Cash Handling: Oversee cash flow, ensuring proper handling of cash, and reconciling accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Pricing: Set drink prices competitively while ensuring profitability and maintaining a strong market position.

5. Health and Safety Compliance

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the bar complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
  • Training: Provide staff with comprehensive training on health and safety practices, including responsible alcohol service.
  • Inspections: Prepare for and manage health and safety inspections, ensuring the bar meets all regulatory requirements.

6. Event Planning and Marketing

  • Promotions: Develop and execute events, promotions, and special offers to attract new customers and drive revenue growth.
  • Social Media Management: Manage the bar's online presence, including social media and online reviews, to engage with customers and promote the brand.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with the local community, collaborating with other businesses and participating in local events to build brand awareness.

7. Operational Management

  • Daily Operations: Ensure the bar runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis, including opening and closing procedures, to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of bar equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with vendors for equipment, supplies, and services to secure the best deals and maintain a strong supply chain.

8. Crisis Management

  • Handling Emergencies: Develop and implement strategies to manage emergencies, such as unruly customers, accidents, or equipment failure, to minimize disruption and maintain a safe environment.
  • Conflict Resolution: Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff and customers, resolving conflicts effectively and efficiently.

9. Reporting

  • Performance Reports: Prepare regular reports on sales, staff performance, and other key metrics to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Trend Analysis: Monitor industry trends and customer preferences to stay ahead of the competition and maintain a strong market position.

10. Innovation and Improvement

  • Menu Development: Develop and implement new drink menus, creating signature cocktails and updating offerings based on trends and customer preferences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and improve bar operations, customer service, and overall profitability to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Leading from the Front: This is a hands-on role, requiring the ability to lead by example, spending time front-of-house and driving results through exceptional leadership and management skills.

What We Offer

Urban Fun offers a competitive salary range of £29,162.00-£34,634.00 per year, plus a range of benefits, including a company pension and performance-based bonuses.
