Position Overview:

STS Aviation Services is seeking a skilled B1 Mechanic to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is essential for supporting our line maintenance operations.

As a B1 Mechanic, you will be responsible for executing Line Maintenance tasks at our facility, ensuring compliance with all regulatory maintenance standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and certify aircraft maintenance within the scope of company approvals.
  • Complete all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Utilize company and customer protocols to procure necessary spare parts, manage paperwork for unserviceable components, and accurately log all maintenance activities.
  • Provide support for urgent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations.
  • Ensure timely execution of required maintenance activities.
  • Address defects on incoming aircraft.
  • Welcome and brief crews of inbound aircraft.
  • Manage engineering dispatch for all aircraft as needed.
  • Execute assigned maintenance tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Uphold high standards of workmanship in all tasks.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Line Maintenance is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic is required.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and adjust to changing demands.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Valid UK Driving License is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
