Job Title: Associate Director Building Consultancy

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated consultant to join our senior leadership team as an Associate Director Building Consultancy. The successful candidate will lead and support high-quality service delivery with our clients and develop and grow our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing, expanding, and growing our offer and services in defence and public sector real estate.
  • Supporting clients to develop and deliver projects and programmes throughout their lifecycle, including scoping, business case, procurement, contract management, troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting, and assuring.
  • Developing internal stakeholder relationships within advisory, infrastructure, real estate, and natural resources sectors, liaising with Key Account Managers and Sector Leads to support work winning.
  • Leading & managing project and delivery teams.
  • Ensuring that client requirements are effectively identified, scoped, and delivered to high quality.
  • Leading business growth by responding to open tenders, managing bid responses, seeking business opportunities, and building strong internal & external client relationships.
  • Developing and delivering a consultancy offer in defence and public sector real estate.
  • Building a team to deliver services effectively, achieve commercial targets and develop technical capabilities.
  • Networking & coaching/mentoring as appropriate to develop Turner & Townsend's wider skillset.
  • Inputting to the strategic direction and operational management of the Asset's and Facilities Management team as a member of the senior management team.
  • Training, coaching and advising delivery teams to ensure that sound collaborative behaviours and techniques are adopted and maintained.
  • Leading business development activities, writing proposals and supporting tender submissions.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in public and private/commercial sectors delivering transformational change in major programmes.
  • Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and matrix management organisations on major projects and programmes.
  • Excellent communication including writing and presentation skills – including ability to communicate with clients and other key stakeholders on global, national, and regional issues.
  • Experience of people management, line-management of a team of different grades, including talents, development plans, recruitment and growing a successful team.
  • Confident leading and working alone or as part of a team, with ability to adapt as required.
  • Attention to detail in service delivery, communications, and ways of working effectively with others.
