Role Summary:
The Lead Electrical Engineering Coordinator will assist the Electrical Engineering Manager in maintaining the hospital's infrastructure, ensuring that all systems, facilities, and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. This role is crucial for the long-term sustainability of the estate as per contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee specialized service contracts to ensure compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
2. Manage the annual planned preventative maintenance schedule for all engineering services, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
3. Implement and adhere to the company's Quality Assurance and Health & Safety Policies.
4. Develop and review maintenance procedures for equipment, aiming to minimize downtime.
5. Create annual maintenance schedules and task instructions for all electrical services.
6. Supervise compliance maintenance tasks and ensure accurate documentation of compliance.
7. Validate completed tasks by assigned personnel and contractors, coordinating necessary resources for remedial actions.
8. Participate in the Annual Programme preparation, identifying potential risks to service delivery.
9. Assist in drafting specifications and managing minor new works and updating records.
10. Support the development of contingency plans for Electrical and Mechanical services.
11. Provide technical and supervisory support for capital projects, including pre and post-design evaluations.
12. Act as a deputy for the Electrical Engineering Manager when required.
13. Collaborate with the Electrical Engineering Manager and other service managers.
14. Serve as an Authorized/Responsible Person for HV/LV systems.
15. Participate in the on-call services for the Estates department.
16. Coordinate shift resources to ensure adequate staffing for planned and reactive tasks.
17. Conduct annual performance reviews and implement training plans for staff.
18. Review and approve timesheets for staff to ensure accurate payment processing.
19. Attend service working group meetings and complete assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Must possess electrical qualifications, ideally with experience in a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience with AP duties for HV/LV and Fire Safety Systems in a hospital environment is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems typically found in healthcare facilities, including emergency power and fire alarm systems.
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems is essential.
- Understanding of financial reporting is advantageous.
- Proficient in writing technical documentation.
- Basic IT skills are required.

Additional Role Features:
This position requires availability for on-call duties on a scheduled basis, with the expectation to respond to site emergencies within a specified timeframe. The role may involve visiting sensitive areas, necessitating discretion and respect for patient privacy.

Working Hours:
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, with no weekend obligations unless overtime is required.
