Champion Diversity and Inclusion as Director

Widener University seeks a passionate leader to champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) as our Director of the Office of Student Inclusion and Belonging (OSIB).
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Well-Being and Belonging within the Division of Student Engagement and Transformation, you will provide strategic direction, management, and expertise for the OSIB. Your role is crucial in advancing a campus climate that celebrates diversity and fosters an inclusive environment for all students.
The OSIB at Widener University is dedicated to creating holistic programs that empower students from diverse backgrounds to achieve academic success, retention, and graduation. We strive to cultivate a sense of belonging and support for every student throughout their journey at Widener.
Your Impact:- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to promote DEIB across campus.
- Lead and manage the OSIB team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to create engaging programs and resources that support diverse student populations.
- Advocate for policies and practices that promote equity and inclusion within the university community.
- Build strong relationships with external partners to enhance DEIB efforts on campus.
We seek a visionary leader with a deep commitment to DEIB and a proven track record of success in higher education. You possess:
- A Master's degree or higher in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
- Significant experience in developing and implementing DEIB initiatives within a university setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach to working with diverse stakeholders.
- A passion for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all students.
