Their team of Multi-Disciplinary professionals works closely with clients to ensure that projects are executed to the highest standards, from initial design concepts through to final completion.


Position Overview:

We are in search of a highly skilled and driven Junior or Senior/Chartered Building Consultant to become a part of our vibrant team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building consultancy within a design-focused environment, showcasing a combination of technical proficiency and client engagement skills.

This position will necessitate a proactive approach to managing a variety of projects, ensuring that all work aligns with industry standards and meets client expectations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive building assessments and generate accurate reports, identifying issues, providing remedial recommendations, and outlining potential financial impacts.
  • Lead the design and specification processes for new constructions, renovations, and restoration projects, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and manage projects from inception to completion, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Offer expert guidance on property legislation, building codes, and health & safety regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing consultancy services and strategic advice to support their objectives.
  • Engage in business development initiatives, identifying new opportunities and promoting the company's services to prospective clients.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in design, project oversight, and client interaction within the construction and surveying sector.
  • Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, showcasing excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Building Surveying or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Associate/Chartered status or actively working towards it with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Thorough understanding of building regulations, construction standards, and design principles.
  • Proficient in utilizing industry-standard software and technology for surveying and design applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional communication and report-writing skills, with the capacity to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel as necessary for project work.
