Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Primary SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in primary schools across Plymouth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or physical disabilities
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one support and small group instruction to children with SEN
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, and contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or physical disabilities
  • Patience, compassion, and dedication to helping children succeed
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work in different school settings
  • Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role is beneficial
  • Relevant qualifications, such as an NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning, are advantageous but not essential
