Main Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Nursing and Midwifery teams in delivering care to our patients. Each day will present new challenges, and you will collaborate with the team to perform a variety of tasks aimed at meeting the needs of patients and their families.

Key Duties Include:

  • Assisting patients with personal hygiene and dressing
  • Serving meals and aiding patients during mealtime
  • Supporting patients in mobility
  • Maintaining cleanliness of patient areas
  • Engaging with patients and their families
  • Observing and reporting on patient conditions

Training and Development

We provide a comprehensive two-week induction and training program for new Patient Care Assistants, covering essential skills such as infection prevention and direct patient care. You will have the opportunity to learn alongside experienced staff and receive support to achieve a Care Certificate.

For those interested in furthering their careers, pathways to Nursing Associate and Registered Nurse roles are available.

Experience Requirements

Essential: No prior experience necessary.

Desirable: Experience in a care setting or customer service is a plus.
