About the Role

We are seeking a competent and enthusiastic driver to join our team as a Mobile Cancer Care Unit Driver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the Mobile Chemotherapy Unit to various locations, greeting patients, and ensuring the unit is prepared and secure.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare the unit for service and close it down each day
  • Undertake vehicle maintenance and safety checks
  • Maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe, and presentable condition
  • Greet patients and complete administrative tasks
  • Support chemotherapy nurses and patients as directed
  • Assist with patient care and other related duties
  • Transport patients to the hospital in the support car if required
  • Transport drugs and blood as required, following AGH guidelines and MCCU policy

Person Specification

  • Significant driving experience
  • Experience working with the general public
  • LGV Class 2 licence
