Position Overview:

We are seeking applications for a full-time role as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Acute Medicine, with responsibilities in the General (Internal) Medicine on-call rota, at a level equivalent to ST3.

The successful candidate will be stationed at a prominent healthcare facility and will have the chance to advance their expertise in Acute Medicine, with dedicated support from the team to achieve independence in upper gastrointestinal endoscopy within a year.

Training activities will mirror those of our Specialty Registrars in Acute Medicine, providing a comprehensive learning experience, albeit without a formal training number. The training provided is acknowledged for any CESR application.

This position is primarily advertised as a permanent contract, although options for a fixed-term contract of 1-2 years may also be available.

The role entails conducting two general acute medicine clinics weekly and contributing to the endoscopy service, performing both upper and lower endoscopy procedures.

The healthcare facility is accredited and has maintained this status for over a decade, emphasizing our commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

The role includes participation in the emergency endoscopy rota (1:6) and the General Internal Medicine on-call rota (1:11).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in acute and general medicine at CT2 or equivalent level.
  • Experience in Quality Improvement Projects.
