Acute Medicine Opportunity

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Acute Medicine Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our urgent care service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our Acute Medical Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the acute admitting medical team and develop strategies to improve patient outcomes.
  • Design and implement clinical pathways to optimize patient flow and care.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Contribute to the development of research projects and publications in clinical medicine.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Acute or General Medicine or within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
  • Teaching or training qualifications.
  • Experience of leading acute admitting medical teams and designing clinical pathways.
  • Ability to teach and mentor medical students and junior doctors.
  • Good knowledge of and ability to use spoken and written English.
