Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the best care for residents.
  • Work in partnership with external agencies, families, and visitors to the home.
  • Support residents with dementia or challenging behaviours, using positive behaviour management techniques.
Essential Criteria:
  • Qualifications: Level 2 in Health and Social Care, ideally Level 3 or willing to secure this qualification.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or a senior looking to advance. Experience in supporting adults with dementia or challenging behaviours.
  • Skills: Medication trained, excellent personal care and support skills, activity support, report writing, team working, and partnership working.
