Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and healthcare professionals to provide tailored health care support. Key responsibilities include administering medication, providing first aid, assisting students with medical needs, and monitoring and recording students' health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication and provide first aid to students as required.
  • Assist students with medical needs, such as diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, or physical disabilities.
  • Support children with personal care, mobility, and feeding where necessary.
  • Monitor and record students' health conditions, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure the well-being and safety of students during school hours.
  • Liaise with parents, school nurses, and external health professionals to develop individual healthcare plans.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Healthcare Support Worker or in a similar role (preferably in a school or childcare setting).
  • Relevant healthcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Health and Social Care, First Aid Certification).
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
