Job Title: Autism Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team at Protocol Education. As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism and additional needs in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to a child with autism, focusing on their learning, emotional, and mental well-being.
  • Develop and implement interventions to help the child develop social skills, build confidence, and regulate their emotions and behavior.
  • Support the teacher with whole-class learning and behavior management, as well as running small-group interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for the child.
Requirements:
  • Positive, proactive, and patient approach to supporting children with autism.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, taking advice from colleagues and senior staff, and sharing ideas and expertise.
  • Enthusiasm and ability to challenge and motivate all pupils.
