Main Responsibilities

The Warehouse Operative will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods, and products to support business operations and customer demand.

Key Tasks
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and containers
  • Breaking down pallets
  • Picking and packing orders for delivery using handheld scanners
  • Building and wrapping stock onto pallets for delivery
  • Storing stock appropriately
  • Moving stock around using manual handling, lifting equipment, or a forklift truck
  • Inputting data into computers
  • Assisting with stock takes
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse and yard
  • Collaborating with different teams within the business
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience of manual handling
  • Good time keeping and attendance record
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to meet regular targets
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to follow health and safety guidelines
  • Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required
Desirable Skills
  • Forklift Truck Licence
  • Previous working knowledge with Kerridge or other WMS/ERP systems
  • Delivery Planning Experience
  • Full Driving Licence
