Accounts Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Accounts Assistant to join our team at Allan Recruitment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including bank reconciliations, credit control, credit card reconciliations, and preparing payment runs.

Additionally, the Accounts Assistant will assist with financial audit preparations and provide support to the Finance Director with ad hoc tasks as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Perform bank reconciliations and credit control
  • Reconcile credit card statements
  • Prepare payment runs
  • Assist with financial audit preparations
  • Provide support to the Finance Director with ad hoc tasks

Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a similar role
  • AAT qualified or similar
  • Understanding of bookkeeping
  • Excellent communication skills
