Job Description

Job Title: HGV Workshop Controller

Location: Dunstable

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of skilled technicians in a busy commercial vehicle repair workshop. As a HGV Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, including managing workflow, allocating tasks, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of technicians to achieve high levels of productivity and quality
  • Develop and implement effective workflow processes to optimize workshop efficiency
  • Monitor and control costs, including labor, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial vehicle repair environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle repair processes and procedures
