Position Overview

Keoghs is seeking a dedicated Fraud Claims Investigator to become a vital member of our dynamic Intelligence Team. This entry-level position offers promising career advancement opportunities and is situated within our collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing evidence related to potential fraudulent claims. The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including:

  • Assessing and inputting new suspected fraudulent insurance claims into our internal Intelligence Database.
  • Engaging in both verbal and written communication with external entities, such as insurers, to collect information that aids in the investigation of suspected fraudulent activities.
  • Supporting Intelligence Analysts in advancing investigations and conducting intelligence searches, including managing phone inquiries and preparing necessary correspondence.
  • Responding to requests for information from external organizations to contribute to the broader effort of fraud prevention and detection.

Core Accountabilities

  • Extracting essential information from new files and accurately entering data into various internal systems.
  • Making informed decisions regarding follow-up inquiries and collaborating with Intelligence Analysts and internal file handlers.
  • Contacting insurers to gather information on prior claims.
  • Adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and internal policies and procedures.
  • Managing personal workload effectively while maintaining focus and commitment post-sign-off.
  • Preparing responses to both internal and external inquiries based on file information.
  • Communicating professionally to obtain necessary information.
  • Meeting chargeable time recording targets, which will evolve during the probation period based on progression and competency.
  • Maintaining accurate Management Information (MI) spreadsheets.

Working Hours

This role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, operating Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

Essential Qualifications

  • Successful completion of English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in IT.
  • Strong telephone communication skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly in repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and organize workload effectively.
  • Commitment to learning and understanding processes while gaining experience in the role.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a target-driven environment and/or time recording.
